Virtual Data Rooms: Because Regular Folders Weren’t Stressful Enough

I just spent an entire afternoon trying to explain to a client why they needed to click through five layers of logins to view one single PDF. The magic phrase? "virtual data rooms". Supposedly they’re the future of “secure file sharing,” but half the time they feel like a digital escape room designed by someone who hates efficiency.

And the pricing models? It’s like they’re inventing new ways to charge you—per page, per gigabyte, per user, maybe even per sigh of frustration. Meanwhile, my Google Drive is over here quietly judging me, asking why I didn’t just drag-and-drop like a normal human.

Anyone else feel like these platforms are less about security and more about reminding us that convenience is a luxury?
